| Lone Pine Paints is a small horse ranch that specializes in paints and is located in beautiful Western New York. We stand, "Son of A Tru Rolex" a black and white homozygous stallion that was sired by A Tru Rolex. A Tru Rolex is a three time reserve world champion that has earned over 3,200 APHA points in nine different events. Our stallion, "Jack" is very athletic and has an awesome disposition. We are starting to get some babies that are under saddle and they are doing great. They have all started easily and have great minds. The trainers that have worked with them have all praised their willingness to please. I usually have young stock available from weanlings to started two year olds, and occasionally will have a broodmare for sale. Jack has done an excellent job of getting his mares in foal, and he has produced a good percentage of black/white. Stud Fee is $400.00 and because he is Homozygous for the Tobiano gene, I can guarantee colored babies. I started breeding Paint horses over a decade ago. At first, I was really excited about getting some beautiful foals. I got beautiful foals, but unfortunately, they usually didn't have much color. When I first got started I wanted to breed halter babies, as I did more research I found out about all of the issues with the HYPP stuff. The more that I learned, the less I wanted to produce Halter babies that carried the HYPP gene. I wanted to go in different direction but wasn't really sure about where to go. I found the solution to my problem when I was leafing through the August edition of The Paint Horse Journal. That is when I first saw Jack. He had everything that I needed. At the time he had not been tested for Homozygosity but with the luck of an eternal optimist he tested positive for being Homozygous for the Tobiano gene. I was able to build a new barn and since then I have committed more of my life to my Paint horse breeding business. A very dear friend of mine took the fantastic pictures of Jack. Her name is Penny Nixon and she can be reached at lifeshots66@yahoo.com. |
